Most of us do not read package labels; let alone how many sugar grams are in each item.Sweets Sugar

We are getting better at this, but most of us have our favorites and hope for the best.

Below find out the amount of sugar grams in some common candy treats…

BTW, most experts recommend a daily sugar gram limit to 25 grams per day.

The highest limit I’ve ever seen is 40 grams per day.

Even if you eat a very healthy whole foods diet, keeping sugar grams below 40 is a challenge.

Okay, check this out:
Caramel Apple: 57 grams of sugar, 300 calories
Popcorn Balls: 49 grams of sugar, 450 calories (plus high fructose corn syrup!)
Candy Bar: 40 grams of sugar per regular size bar
Candy Corn: 33 grams sugar, 150 calories per ounce (plus spooky artificial colors and flavors)

If you think you’re doing yourself a favor by eating small portions, think again:

Three miniature Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups have more sugar than a glazed Crispy Crème doughnut.

Half a pack of Skittles has more sugar than a scoop of Haagen-Dazs Cookies and Cream Ice Cream.
