Best Chocolate Cake ever! All-natural, Paleo Grain-free

Let’s face it, a nice creamy chocolate cake does a lot for a lot of people; it does for me”. ~Audrey Hepburn

I have good news which is tied into some sad news.

Good news:

I just met an amazing family who has a uniquely fantastic

travel blog

where they also have this super yummy paleo chocolate cake recipe for you…

This family is unique in that they travel all around the world, plus they practice some really good health and eating behaviors you can read about and learn from.

They also talk about and show how they eat healthfully while on the road.

I know…

Pretty amazing to both travel and stay healthy at the same time!

Hey, most people can’t figure out how to eat well as they have access to a state of the art kitchen and a Whole Foods on every corner.

And part of the resistance to eating well is that sometimes eating healthfully does not show immediate results for some people. So, I get it… But I hope over time I can influence you to decide that your long-term health is something you care about.

Anyway, getting back to the best paleo chocolate cake ever…

This sweet family of three travels all around the world and manages to eat so healthfully and have actually healed some significant health issues through healthy eating and other important behaviors.

paleo chocolate cake. Which of course automatically means it is gluten and grain-free, and it sounds super easy to make.

Sad news:

I’m going to make this paleo chocolate cake for a birthday party we are going to have for my brother-in-law who recently passed away.

His only remaining sister – my sister-in-law wants to try gluten free and so I’m going to make this since my husband and I do not eat grains.

So, the chocolate cake will be enjoyed and consumed as a remembrance of someone who absolutely loved to eat – especially desserts.

However, it will be one that will be healthy.

Here’s to my wonderful brother-in-law Bill!

Now, go ahead and share this with all of your facebook friends. They will absolutely love this.

Now it’s your turn. What is your favorite kind of cake?

The cute travel site you linked to is so cool. I agree that eating well an healthy while traveling must be really hard. It’s pretty impressive. The cake recipe seems really simple. But man, that is a lot of eggs in that recipe. Do you know why that is?

Hi Judy. I agree that this family is so impressive. Wait until you read about how they are teaching about staying cavity free and reversing gum disease. That is really impressive. Modern dentists have no idea how powerful healthy eating can be. Plus, there are a ton of other recipes from healthy ice cream, to special recipes for homemade mayo and traditional healing broths.

I think that baking paleo (which means leaving out grains dairy etc) means we must compensate with other ingredients. The eggs help with moisture, and the egg whites give some leavening. I hope to talk further with the family soon and I will ask that question. Plus perhaps we can get other baking tips as we bake grain free.

  2. Thanks so much Kathy for your sweet words and sharing our recipe! So sorry to hear about your loss. I hope everyone enjoyed the healthy cake..it really is super delicious and is quite easy to make.

Pastured eggs are one of the most nutritious foods, and super cheap in Asia, so I think adds a lot to this cake.

So happy you discovered us and thus allowing me to discover you!

      Dear Jeanne,

Thank you for everything and the nice words of comfort. It’s my pleasure to share healthy versions of desserts and other loved dishes. Many times the new, healthy versions are almost as nutritious as veggies if done right. Plus, my readers and I cannot wait to hear more about your personal success with healing your dental issues through healthy protocols. Not to mention all the amazing travels you can talk about.

Talk soon when your schedule allows.

The travel blog is really nice. We are planning to take some family trips this summer so this will be very nice to have as a guide. And we love chocolate cake here at home or on the road!
